“Lord, Save My Children” is an inspiring theatrical play which I have written and dedicated to our children. With all the violence overwhelming our communities and threatening our children’s future and their very existence, we need to reach out and show our children the wondrous events that can occur when they pray. How their lives will be spiritually and positively transformed through prayer. Our lives are being disrupted, our homes and family torn apart. We cannot afford to lose our children to senseless violence and the cruel world on the streets. We need to bring them back in, show them the Lord’s way to greatness! Our motto is “T.G.L. Teaching Great Leadership.” Our goal is to help and guide each child to respect themselves as well as others. To always stay focused, leap all boundaries, overcome all obstacles and to believe that greatness has no limit.

Lord Keep Your Mansions Just Save My Children

"Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou
art my praise" (Jer. 17:14). I can finally say, "It's OK. We can look now." You mean,
Pastor O'Ffill, your problems are gone? No, they are still there. But we can look ...

As I lay on the floor lifeless, watching my daughter cry "Mommy, Mommy, get up! Mommy, please get up!" I could see the pain in her face and hear it in her voice. I cried out, "Lord, save my soul and take care of my children!" Immediately, I was returned back to my body. I am so glad that when I left the Lord, he didn't leave me!

THE MOTHER WHO WAS ONCE DENIED This play is based on (fiction and truth) a happily married Southern couple who are God-fearing people who encountered some happy times and some crucial times in life. Tom, the husband, became a nave and self-centered man who felt he could not deal with the tragic that caused the facial impairment of his wife. Minnie, the mother, suffered many heartaches when she was faced with the responsibility of taking care of two children and herself alone. The father, who had imposed domestic responsibility, as well as financial problems, upon her, decided to leave with the youngest child and moved to New York. Minnie wanted to work, but no one would hire her because of her face. She learned how to be patient and wait on the Lord, with a great determination to rise above all difficulties surrounding her during these difficult times. Fifteen years later, her child returns to visit her, with friends from New York. She admitted that she was ashamed of her mothers face and denied her.

Yes, we can make this world a better place to live if we would all focus on the problem in prayer and ask God for wisdom and the right way to solve problems. Some of our children out there want to come home but they don’t know how to get back. Are we reaching out to help them find their way back, or did we give up on them? Let us keep trying to reach them until we can embrace them in our arms again. Don’t give up. We can change the world and make this world a better place. The wisdom of our President of the United States: “Yes, we can!”

Oooooooooooh Lord, please save my children. Don't let them go to the fiery
furnace where they will never return ... never see their dear mother again.' Well,

Linda Sue Preston was born on a feather bed in the upper room of her Grandma Emmy's log house in the hills of eastern Kentucky. More than fifty years later, Linda Scott DeRosier has come to believe that you can take a woman out of Appalachia but you can't take Appalachia out of the woman. DeRosier's humorous and poignant memoir is the story of an educated and cultured woman who came of age in Appalachia. She remains unabashedly honest about and proud of her mountain heritage. Now a college professor, decades and notions removed from the creeks and hollows, DeRosier knows that her roots run deep in her memory and language and in her approach to the world. DeRosier describes an Appalachia of complexity and beauty rarely seen by outsiders. Hers was a close-knit world; she says she was probably eleven or twelve years old before she ever spoke to a stranger. She lovingly remembers the unscheduled, day-long visits to friends and family, when visitors cheerfully joined in the day's chores of stringing beans or bedding out sweet potatoes. No advance planning was needed for such trips. Residents of Two-Mile Creek were like family, and everyone was "delighted to see each other wherever, whenever, and for however long." Creeker is a story of relationships, the challenges and consequences of choice, and the impact of the past on the present. It also recalls one woman's struggle to make and keep a sense of self while remaining loyal to the people and traditions that sustained her along life's way. Told with wit, candor, and zest, this is Linda Scott DeRosier's answer to the question familiar in Appalachia--"Who are your people?"
